Pastel Workshop Update

A super productive day was achieved at the ‘Pastel Woodland’ Workshop at Millpool Centre, Looe on Saturday 13th February.  Several attendees were novices to soft pastels and surprised themselves by doing so well.  Pastels are such a lovely medium and we all had a most enjoyable time.

Here are a few pictures from the day, well done everyone for a great day.

Looking forward to a New Year with you Arty Folk, Yvette.

A Proud New Learner

One of my newest members to one of my classes is ‘Charles’ from Menheniot, ‘Sue’ his wife, has been coming to my classes for many many years now and Charles has driven ‘Sue’ to and fro classes ever since she started.  Many of you will know Charles as he helped me greatly in the Student Art Exhibitions we had in Menheniot.

‘Sue’ has been very poorly but was determined to continue painting and came back to class this September after missing a few terms, ‘Charles’ decided that he would join ‘Sue’ to keep her company in class and keep her in check, as she can be a proper noisy one (ONLY JOKING SUE).

He was somewhat nervous when he arrived and as you do I, dropped him in the deep end, by getting him to paint one of the scheduled exercises the rest of the class was doing.

I thought that would send him running, but instead he excelled and did himself proper proud.   What a delight to see him get such pleasure out of his new hobby, he completed a snow scene painting which he has had printed into a Christmas Card and has had the painting framed as well.

Here he is proudly showing off one of his paintings that he has had  framed ready for a Christmas Present for his Mum.

Well Done Charles.

Catching up

Hello All,

I have been a bit pre-occupied lately with lots going on and having had several computer problems whilst downloading Windows 10, and to top it all, I went down with an Orrible Cold, sniff sniff.

Well I have managed to sort out one computer but have a second one to do, oh joy!! but at least I have got rid of my cold.

I thought you might like to have an update of some great work being done by many of you that attend my classes.

So Here is the First Picture I would like to Share with You All.

At 91, Percy is my oldest learner, he just gets better and better.  This painting was completed without any drawing to assist him.  He rose to the challenge and wow what a super piece of work it is.  Well done you.

Keep a look out for the next blog of great work.
