A Plethora of Trains

‘Wow’ what a great collection of Steam Train Paintings by my Learners this Term.  Rising like the steam from an engine they rose to the challenge and just like British Rail they arrived on time!

I love my job, but I feel especially proud when results are as good as these, see below.

Well Done to all my learners that produced these paintings.

I have another couple of classes yet to paint this exercise so with any luck they will arrive on my platform soon without any delays.

WOOOO! WOOO! What a really difficult subject to try and paint! The trouble with a painting/drawing of a steam loco is that they have to be accurate, otherwise those of us who used to be trainspotters (!) will notice the detail errors. But also, some steam loco paintings can be TOO accurately done, so they lose a sense of life – if you know what I mean? Yvette seems to have given you a good subject here so you can hide difficult bits in clouds of smoke and steam!
Wonderful drawing and paintings with lots of life in them! Really well done to all of you.
