Snow in January 2014

I have opened my blinds and curtains this morning to see Snow has fallen in Pensilva, albeit a dusting and certainly not enough to warrant wearing my new snow boots, it’s still snow.

P1080916I know that most of you don’t not want snow, but as a keen Photographer and Art Tutor I would like to see it snow on the moors.

Especially now that I am living so close and could walk up onto the moors in my snow booties. You will thank me when you want some moorland snow pictures to paint from.

…and when you’re trapped, snowed in, to your house on the moors, how will you be able to come and tutor us at the art classes?! And will we have to arrange food drops for you as well? I visualise a line of art students, each with their heavy bags of supplies from Morrisons, trudging slowly through the frozen wastes of Bodmin Moor just to bring them to your door!

Otherwise, for us plebs below the moor’s dizzy heights, we have unartistic rain to look at.

I knew I could rely on my faithful learners to come to my rescue, but alas our snow has gone and we too have rain. Video Link tutoring could be the next idea to look into just in case the rain turns to thick snow and I am snowed in, with my hearty Chicken stew I can make.. it smells nice just thinking about it. We could skype for a critique of your paintings.

Like the sound of the video link and Skype tutoring if it snows hard – we could all stay in our PJ’s by the fire instead of braving Lostwithiel community centre’s dodgy heating! Would miss the fun we have in class though.
